The person behind Stario

Hey, I’m Adam.

Stario is my solo project. I am a mostly Python backend engineer who wanted a pleasant way to build complete web applications without losing sight of HTTP, HTML, and the server.

I went through frontend-heavy stacks, HTMX, and finally Datastar. Along the way I learned more about the browser and server boundary than I expected. Stario is where those lessons now live.

I build it in public so you can inspect the code, question a decision, use one small part, or reach out and talk about the whole thing.

What I care about

Readable work.

A small framework should teach durable ideas instead of framework trivia.

A repository should make sense to the person who owns it and to an AI agent helping with it.

A weekend application and a production application should not need two unrelated shapes.

A tool should say where its responsibility ends.

Come say hello

Questions, criticism, and interesting problems are welcome.
